Got the same error on a new HD with a factory installed image. Chatted with support and I had to reinstall from the discs, basically (start with the Dell MediaDirect, that'll prompt you for the Vista OS, then stick in the Drivers/Utilities, etc. End with the Dell MediaDirect again.)

Just got a new hard drive straight from Dell with a factory image pre-installed on the drive (my old drive died). Got that error: "FAILED to Nobulate (NOBNT) back to the manufacturing media (A:) such that the Software Install process cannot continue reliably. DO NOT REBOOT THIS SYSTEM. FAIL THIS SYSTEM TO EMR".
However, my point in leaving this comment is to say that while Dell said they don't provide software support, that is not entirely true. Since Dell purchases OEM copies of Microsoft Windows (so they get the discounted rates) they are also taking on the responsibility of end user support. That is an agreement a "System Builder" has with Microsoft to get the cheaper rates -- that the "System Builder" provides support to the "End User". Just thought I'd give you that for further information.

I have 3 Dell laptops computers. One, the oldest has been back once for service within one month of purchase. (Video issues.) Indian service tech advised me to remove the video card and send it in. I told him it was ill advised, as it was soldered to the board in a laptop. Then I made the leap to an XPS 1300. It has be serviced 3 times. hard drive replaced once, board twice. Currently it is before me with the factory diagnostic screen with the aforementioned Fail to nobulate do not reboot message. I paid for the "Premium XPS Support”. Tried to call the XPS number and found I was again talking to non Standard American English speaking tech support. After dealing with them for 20 minutes plus, two transfers. I was told I’d called the wrong support number and the XPS number . They told me the number and “Surprise” it was the number I’d called. They transferred me to a internal XPS support number and I was speaking to an XPS American Tech. I was told they’d changed the number do to too many calls for support from non XPS service issues. (Maybe frustrated customers looking for someone they could understand and knew what they were doing??).
PS: Mr. Jack Marron, I did go to Microsoft first. This is an error endemic to Dell Laptops only. Not that Microsoft hasn’t created plenty of their own issues.

Get your facts straight. He never refused to say the Pledge of Allegiance. This is just a pure lie inserted into a picture that can’t be confirmed.
In the picture the caption said that it was during the National Anthem. Then later in the same paragraph it says that he refuses to say the Pledge of Allegiance. Besides, we don’t even know if the National Anthem had started to play it yet. For all we know, Obama could have place his hand over his heart after this picture was snapped. There is no footage of this event.

This has Karl Rove written all over it. Don’t believe the lies of the Rove spin machine.

Maybe you are an Indian L2 from DELL. If you are then it's amusing one finally found this post on this blog. It's also amusing the language barrier is more annoying for the customers than the people on the other end. However, I don't care to have this kind of racism posted on my blog. I really don't think everyone who calls you (assuming you are what you say you are) yells at you because you are Indian. So, thanks for playing.
